Functional Ecology Haldane prize for Yingying Wang
The British Ecological Society has awarded Yingying Wang with their annual prize for best research paper by an early career researcher. Yingying Wang has been awarded this year’s prize for her article Phylogenetic structure of wildlife assemblages shapes patterns of infectious livestock diseases in Africa. Her research with the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Group of Wageningen University looked at the transmission of infectious diseases between wildlife and livestock.
On winning the prize, Yingying Wang said: “Receiving this prize is a great honour. It is one of the most important events of my career. This prize improves my self-confidence and motivates me to work harder.”
