Rachel Creamer is chair of the Soil Biology Group in Wageningen University. The Soil Biology Group studies the role of the soil biota in ecosystem processes at a range of scales; from the life in a soil ped to the role of soil biota in climate change at global levels. Rachel Creamer has worked as a soil pedologist for the last 22 years, specialising in soil functions, soil quality, soil biological indicator assessment and soil classification. She has coordinated various national and European research projects and published over 40 papers. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal: Soil Use and Management. Rachel recently joined the The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research RoundTable for Life Sciences as Quartermaster for the topic Life and Planet and she is the Chair of the Wageningen Soils Conference.
