Sam Kuijpers receives NMR-DG poster prize
During the annual symposium of the Dutch NMR-DG, on November 10th, a poster prize is awarded. This year the prize was awarded to Sam Kuijpers, PhD candidate at the laboratory of Biophysics (AFSG).
The title of the poster was “Magnetic resonance to quantitatively assign multi-component structural phases in soy protein extrudates” and outlined two methodologies to quantify plant protein extrudates using magnetic resonance.
The poster was praised for its clear explanation of MRI images of soy protein extrudate at high field strength, as well as, the added industrial relevance by relating these results to lower cost, more accessible low field strength bulk measurements.
