Everyone has unconscious biases. This is due to the fact that our brain automates a lot. In some cases, this is extremely convenient, for example when breathing in and out or shifting gears in your car. But we also react automatically when we meet new people, for example. This can unintentionally lead to unconscious biases and awkward situations.
