Where to preserve research data?

The WUR data policy requires researchers to preserve the data underlying their publications for at least 10 years. But figuring out where to preserve the data, code, script or software can be challenging. There are many criteria to consider, such as data sensitivity, costs and format. The WUR Repository Finder helps you to choose the most suitable location to preserve data, code, script and/ or software when your research is finished.

You can use the WUR Storage Finder to find a storage solution for the data you're collecting during your research.

How does it work?

Are you looking for a discipline-specific repository? Do you want to preserve sensitive research data with closed access? Or do you have software that you want to preserve? By answering these and other questions, the WUR Repository Finder can identify appropriate repositories or internal location(s) to archive your data (for example W: Drive or Yoda). You can also compare preservation locations on different aspects, such as cost or publication speed.

Help us improve the tool

WUR Library and WDCC developed the WUR Repository Finder with the help of the coordinating PSG data steward and other data stewards. The tool includes IT-offered storage locations and repositories that are WUR-supported or commonly used by WUR researchers. We welcome your feedback.
