For the eighth year in a row, Wageningen University has been awarded the title “Best university in the Netherlands”, by the study choice guide ‘Keuzegids Universities 2013’. This guide, issued by the Higher Education Information Centre (CHOI) on December 4, 2012, states: "Many of Wageningen University’s programmes are among the best the Dutch universities have to offer."

The highest rated study programme in the country is Wageningen University’s Plant Sciences. It received a score of 98 out of a hundred.

Almost all programmes qualified as "top quality"

Throughout The Netherlands, 59 courses were given the qualification "Top quality programme" by the Keuzegids guide. As many as 13 of the 18 Wageningen bachelor programmes that have been evaluated by the guide, have been qualified as 'Top quality programme 2013'.

The Studiekeuze guide is intended to inform prospective students about all Dutch universities and their study programmes. The quality of the study programmes is compared per category. In almost all categories in which Wageningen University participated, it came out on top.

Students with disabilities are also well off in Wageningen. "For years, Wageningen University and the University of Twente have been managing to provide good support to students with disabilities," said the guide.

Wageningen's Plant Sciences perform even better than Biology at that same university. According to the students, the team of lecturers and the stimulating programme are of exceptional quality
