Kids and vegetables

Background

  • Consumer driven concept development starts with determining specifi c consumer segments and their specific needs.
  • Children need to increase their vegetable consumption.

Hypothesis

Distinct preparation methods and presentation may lead to different sensory experiences and liking. This presents opportunities to stimulate vegetable consumption.

  • Studies have been designed to study children’s and parents’ behaviors in relation to vegetables consumption, and focusing on children’s autonomy.
  • Opportunities to increase vegetable consumption are related to:
    1. different preparation methods.
    2. different ways of presenting the vegetables.
