Rapid Reaction Seminar July 24: update of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct
Adopted in 1976, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises had been last updated in 2011, when they were brought in alignment with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Earlier this summer, in launching the 2023 update of the Guidelines, the OECD stated that “the 2023 update reflects a decade of experience since their last review in 2011 and responds to urgent social, environmental, and technological priorities facing societies and businesses”.
In this RRS, with the help of experts, we will look at the main features of the update to the benefit of students, scholars and practitioners who might want to know more about this important development in the business and human rights field.
