Summary

This research focused on how certain properties of dietary fibers, found in pig and chicken feed, affect the movement of feed through the digestive system. These fibers, known for being indigestible, play an important role in regulating how quickly feed travels through the digestive system. They also affect the overall characteristics of the digestive content and can hinder the digestion process. Using byproducts from human food production in animal feed is becoming more necessary; nevertheless, these byproducts often have a lot of fiber. Understanding how fiber properties affect digestion is crucial for optimizing animal nutrition and enhancing feed efficiency.
