Project

From garden to clinic

In this project, cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) are being produced from roses residues by an environmentally friendly one-pot system. This processing method aims to not only eliminates lignin but also modify the surface of cellulose to increase the carboxil groups content inducing to a higher colloidal stability. The CNF produced in the first part of this project will be used to 3D printed scafolds and porous materials for medical applications.
