Samaneh is an Assistant Professor in Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning at WUR. Before joining WUR, she had been a lecturer at the Agricultural University of Iceland (2020-2023) and Sapienza University of Rome (2018-2020).

She received her Ph.D. in Landscape and Environment Program from “Sapienza”. Prior to attending the Ph.D. program, she worked for several Architectural Firms. She was engaged in issues ranging from Urban renewal to Urban Forestry and Water System management. She has conducted field research at UPennDesign- Pennsylvania University (2017) and Université de Liège (2012). Samaneh’s research interests focus on solving Large-Scale Landscape Architecture and Planning problems with particular attention to holistic approaches. She is the author of different scientific articles and books, including a single-author book, The Urban Forest in the Age of Urbanization, published by River Publisher (Gistrup, Denmark) in 2021.
