As a Ph.D. student, I am currently working on a research project that aims to restore and manage man-made forests through the involvement of local communities and the provision of alternative livelihoods. This project focuses on understanding the ecological and social aspects of forest restoration and management in order to develop sustainable approaches that benefit both the environment and the communities that rely on these forests. The research will involve a multi-disciplinary approach that includes field surveys, interviews, and participatory workshops with local communities. The findings from this research will be used to develop strategies for restoring and managing man-made forests in a way that is both ecologically sound and socially equitable.
