Laxmi Chaulagain is a PhD candidate in the 'NAT' project funded by NWO which aims to create sustainable sandy soil landscapes of the Netherlands. Within this project, her main task includes understanding the functioning of the sandy soil landscapes based on soil suitability and water availability. 

She holds a bachelor's degree in agriculture from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and a master's degree in Soils and Global Change from a joint cohort of Gent University, Belgium, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Austria and University of Goettingen, Germany.
