As a contemporary continental philosopher, I am committed to the continuity of the philosophical tradition and its abiding relevance.
In my current research I explore questions of technicity and ecology and the ways that life, materiality and thought intersect.

At present I am undertaking a post-doctoral reseach project at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) in philosophy of technology with an emphasis on agroecology.

I teach at Leiden University and in the past I have taught for Erasmus University Rotterdam, Groningen University and the Architectural Association, among various other institutions.

I am the convener research collective Minor Torus, with the primary aim of bringing philosophers together with scholars and practitioners from other disciplines, to explore primary philosophical works in ways that carry over into research, but also other forms of aesthetic and public dissemination.
