Stan Brouns winner best science paper
On March 9 2012 Dr. Stan Brouns was presented as the winner of the Research Award of the Wageningen University Fund.
The prize for best scientific publication by a Wageningen researcher, handed out once every four years, went to Stan for his publication 'Small CRISPR RNAs guide antiviral defense in prokaryotes'. In this article he described how the immune system of bacteria avert attacks from viruses.
