Presentation at SRA Europe conference 2014 in Istanbul

Two researchers were invited to the SRA Europe Conference to give a presentation. At 16 till 18 June the researchers Amber Ronteltap and Machiel Reinders went to the 23rd SRA – E conference. The SRA Europe conference is open to all interested researchers and experts in the various fields of risk analysis.

Risk analysis is broadly defined to include risk assessment, risk characterization, risk communication, risk management, and policy relating to risk, in the context of risks of concern to individuals, to public- and private-sector organizations, and to society at a local, regional, national, or global level. The 23rd SRA-Europe conference was hold in Istanbul, Turkey and hosted by Istanbul Technical University. The special theme of the conference is “Analysis and Governance of Risks beyond Boundaries” to emphasize that risks are able to travel through the virtual boundaries labeled as “regions”, “territories” and “countries”, to promote recent scientific novelties in risk reduction and to enhance inter-disciplinary approaches to develop new strategies in both evaluating and coping with well-known and less-known risks.
