Harvest festival: celebrate diversity in the field and on your plate
Climate change and biodiversity loss require our food system to change. What can tropical crops contribute to this? In Wageningen we are growing a range of crops that are new to the Netherlands as an experiment. We would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the harvest of these special herbs and vegetables and the diversity of crops, food and cultures!
Programme
We will start the programme with an opening and introduction talks, explaining the project, in Impulse (16:00-17:00).
After that, we will take an excursion to the tunnels (17.00-18.00), where the tropical crops are growing.
We'll then celebrate the harvest with a dinner of a multicultural cuisine from Thailand, over Nigeria to Suriname, based on these crops (18.00-20.00). The dinner will take place on the square in front of Unifarm.
