Chemical contamination

RIKILT's chemical contamination research can be divided into two categories: contaminants and veterinary drugs.

Contaminants are substances which can end up in a product either as a result of processing methods or through contact with the surrounding environment. One example of veterinary drug related research is an investigation for hormones which accelerate the growth of slaughter animals.

RIKILT is also involved in fraud investigations, such as melamine additives and other N-supplements.
