Next week Dorien Korbee's PhD defence 'Greening the construction of marine infrastructue: A governance approach' is scheduled. Therefore Oneworld magazine, from NCDO, the Dutch Center for Global Citizenship, published an article on her interesting PhD research.
Larger ships require new port infrastructure. Adapting port infrastructure is not always done in a sustainable matter. Dorien Korbee's PhD research on greening marine infrastructure reveals that in many cases global corporations are the key actors in sustainable construction of marine infrastructure. However, much more can be achieved when it comes to sustainability of port infrastructure.
