Education at the Laboratory of Nematology

At Laboratory of Nematology, we are very passionate about teaching. Our teaching staff is involved in multiple courses on BSc and MSc level for different study programs. Our courses (listed on the bottom of this page) include courses that cover for example aspects of plant sciences, infectious diseases, host-parasite interactions, ecology and environmental sciences. In addition, we offer courses that focus on training academic skills, such as writing and debating skills.

Thesis and research practice

Towards the end of the BSc and MSc curriculum, every student will perform a thesis project within Wageningen University. Within the research themes soil health, plant health and human & animal health we offer exciting projects for students. Students will join PhD student and/or postdoc projects and will use state-of-the-art techniques to address our research questions. Each project lends itself for a BSc or MSc thesis as well as research practice.

Internships

Map of all internship locations

The MSc curriculum includes a research or industrial internship. The internship is a learning period during which the relationship with professional practice is emphasized. This means that the internship is carried out outside Wageningen University. We have a wide global network of host institutes where students can perform their internship.

We are always happy to help students with establishing contact with host institutes outside our own network.
