
Cell Biology and Immunology Group
The CBI group, headed by prof. Huub Savelkoul, integrates high level education at all university levels (BSc, MSc, PhD, Post-doc) with internationally competitive research in fundamental and applied immunology. The group participates in several international networks and holds a strong record in immunomodulation for health and disease resistance of animals and humans.

TARGETFISH
TargetFish is a large collaborative project to be funded with 6 million euro by the European Commission 7th Framework programme (grant agreement no. 311993). The project will run for 5 years starting autumn 2012.

Our education
Cell Biology and Immunology disciplines are integrated generate knowledge and insights in the field of health, welfare and wellbeing of humans and animals, based on their (epi)genetic background in an environment that provides a variety of stimuli, like exposure to infectious organisms, food and inhalant compounds, internal and external stress factors, etc.
